My Very Own Gum!

   
      As a Mom, there isn't much that is my very own, but my pack of gum is.  I have a certain gum that I like.  It comes in a cute, decorated little box with a nice flap to close it.  All of the little sticks of gum are lined up very nicely and that box lives in a certain pocket in my purse.  My rule is you don't touch my box of gum without asking.  Period. And if for some reason I ALLOW you in my purse to get my gum, you better not even THINK of taking a piece if it is the last one - unless you ask first.  Great, but EVERYBODY in my family wants MY gum!  So I share, in the name of Jesus. :)  My husband is the worst for "using me" for gum.  He will pilfer through my purse to find it, leave his wrapper in my purse and worst of all, take more than one piece.  The second his rear hits the seat in church, I can count to 3 and by then he will have leaned over and asked "Got any gum?" Every.stinkin'.time.  Gotta love him.



      Which brings me to this morning.  I take my boys to school every day.  Most days they brush their teeth after breakfast but in the off chance that they brushed them before or not at all, they have started asking for a piece of  "my gum" every morning.  Honestly, I gladly share it.  However, this has gone on for about 2 weeks and I am going through gum like crazy!  So this morning I had a great idea.  They asked for gum and I said, "How 'bout if you guys start sharing a piece?"  I look up in the rear view mirror as my 6 year old looks at me strange and says, "Well okay, but can I chew it FIRST?"   LOLOL!!!  I had to explain I meant they would half a piece but I couldn't even get it out I was laughing so hard.  So here is to sharing gum.  Even if it is MY gum.
